Using Trusts and SNTs After Medi-Cal Asset Changes
This session reviews the use of irrevocable, revocable, and special needs trusts after the implementation of the Medi-Cal asset limit changes. The presenters will review common concerns with the use of revocable living trusts to avoid Medi-Cal recovery, using the court to modify A-B trusts, and when it is still necessary or advisable to use special needs trusts. The presenters will also provide practical advice for dealing with these different trusts in your planning practice.
